This hands-on science museum off I-40 is filled with interactive exhibits with subjects ranging from exotic fish to outer space.

A planetarium offers star shows and 360-degree films.In front of the Discovery Center stands the Helium Monument (photo above), which contains time capsules to be opened in the future.

The monument recognizes Amarillo's role as "the helium capital of the world."
