State Historical Park Located on the mouth of the Brazos River, this
community is a favorite with those looking for fresh- or salt-water
fishing and other water activities such as swimming, surfing, or

The courthouse lawn is the site of this one-day festival held in late August. Musicians play throughout the day in the gazebo, and there's a car show, a diaper derby, a cow patty bingo, fajita cookoff, carnival, and a 5K run. October: Brazoria County Fair.
