Hyatt Regency Austin

Booking Austin hotels

If you are coming into Austin for a convention or meeting at the Palmer Event Center, check out the Hyatt Regency Austin, located a short walk away. Long popular with business travelers, the Hyatt is located on the shores of Town Lake with beautiful views of the surrounding hills, downtown Austin, and the lake.

The Hyatt's comfortable guest rooms come with standard amenities such as cable television daily newspaper delivery, climate control, video account review, data ports, and video check out. When not attending a meeting, or for leisure guests, the hotel offers an outdoor pool and whirlpool overlooking Austin's skyline, a modern health club, and bicycle and jogging paths.

Our favorite part of the Hyatt are its restaurants: the Branchwater (both a lobby bar and a patio restaurant) and La Vista, located on the second level with a view of the lake. La Vista serves international food but it's especially well known in Austin for its fajitas (no small feat in a town filled with great fajitas). We can personally attest to their excellence; we celebrated our wedding with a dinner here and the romantic view of the city--along with great fajitas--really made the meal special.

Location: 208 Barton Springs (south of downtown)
