Lake Austin Spa Resort

Perched in the rolling hills on a quiet shore of Lake Austin, the Lake Austin Spa Resort combines spa luxury with the rustic atmosphere of a lake retreat. With healthy dining, exercise programs, spa treatments, and many activities, the resort is casual elegance at its best.

Activites range from aerobics classes on a suspended wood floor to tennis, dancing, mountain biking, and even sculling on the lake’s calm waters.

Accommodations include cottage rooms with saltillo tile floors, private baths, central air and heat, telephones, cable TV, and king, double, or queen beds. Guests have use of an outdoor pool, an indoor water-aerobics pool, a sauna, a steam and Jacuzzi, training room, a walking trail, and tennis courts. Some cottages include a meditation garden, deluxe soaking tub, and a terrace.

Throughout the resort, touches combine spa luxury with the rustic atmosphere of a lake retreat. You'll find plenty of activity here in the form of aerobics classes on a suspended wood floor, tennis, dancing, mountain biking, and even sculling on the lake's calm waters. Activity goes hand-in-hand with relaxation, and here that means stress reduction sessions. Guests can try a massage, a facial, a manicure, an aloe vera body masque, an invigorating sea salt scrub, or an aromatherapy scalp conditioning. Spa treatments can be booked as packages or are also available on an á la carte basis and include treatments ranging from paraffin body wraps to Moortherapy using 30,000-year-old mud to underwater massage.

With a view of a rugged cliff and the sea green waters of Lake Austin, the grounds here are as wild as the surrounding Hill Country and populated by wildlife and wildflowers. Even the dining room, which features healthy cuisine utilizing Southwest seasonings, overlooks Lake Austin.

Location: 1705 South Quinlan Park Road, Austin
