MacGregor/Hippie Hollow Park, Austin

This day-use county park covers 109 acres of rugged ledges and hiking trails along Lake Travis and is a popular spot to swim. But you have to be 18 years of age or over to enter.

Why? The answer is why MacGregor Park is known as Hippie Hollow: this is the county's only clothing-optional park. Hippie Hollow is, without a doubt, the most unique park in the LCRA system. This is the only clothing-optional public park in Texas and is heavily visited by both sunbathers and onlookers. The park includes many good swimming sites along rocky cliffs as well as primitive hiking trails.Along its water's edge, hundreds of locals and travelers alike seek the total tan.

The park is located on Comanche Trail, 2 1/2 miles off RM 620.

Location: From the intersection of RR 620 and FM 2222, take RR 620 south 1.3 miles to Comanche Trail. Turn right on Comanche Trail and travel 2.0 miles. Park entrance is on left.
