Krause Springs, Spicewood

This swimming hole is one of Texas's best, a true hidden wonder. As its name suggests, the highlight of this private, family-owned park is its natural springs, a magnet for summer visitors. Along with waterfalls, the park's crystal clear waters draw swimmers and even snorkelers plus sunbathers who lie on the surrounding rocks. Year-around camping is also available.
