AUSTIN MUSIC HALL

Just west of the entertainment district, this renovated green warehouse has hosted performers such as Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Earl Keen, and Sheryl Crow.

THE BACKYARD

On the west side of town, relax beneath shady oaks and enjoy an open-air concert at The Backyard. With rock walls, some picnic tables, and a casual atmosphere, the venue lives up to its name. National acts including Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and The Band have played here.

SOUTHPARK MEADOWS

Bring along a blanket and stretch out to enjoy a top act at this outdoor venue. Some of Austin’s largest concerts are held at this South Austin meadow located just off I-35. Sting, Hootie and the Blowfish, and R.E.M. have drawn crowds to this open-air venue.

  • Location: 9600 S. I-35, Austin(South Austin)

FRANK ERWIN CENTER

Also the home of Longhorn basketball, this 17,871-seat circular auditorium hosts nationally recognized touring acts. Concert goers enjoy concessions and reserved theater-style seats in this venue. (North Austin)

  • Location: Off Red River and 15th St., Austin (University of Texas Campus)
