Pease Park, Austin Location: 1100 Kingbury Street
in North Austin Located on Shoal Creek along Lamar Boulevard, Pease was Austin's first city park, dedicated in 1876 by Governor Pease himself. Pease Park offers a picnic area for large groups as well as a three-mile hike-and-bike trail, swimming pool and wading pool, basketball and volleyball courts, picnic facilities, play equipment, children's playground, and restrooms, and is popular for informal volleyball and softball games.
