Nutty Brown Cafe & Amphitheater

Located halfway between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs at 12225 U.S. 290 West, this restaurant is known not only for its eclectic menu ranging from chicken fried steak and Frito pie to herb crusted chicken and blackened salmon but also its live music scene. Beneath tall oaks, an open-air patio features live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Recent performers have included Rusty Weir, Johnny Dee & the Rocket 88s, The Eggmen, and others.

In early May, the restaurant also hosts the Legends of Texas Music Festival.
