Angelo's sounds like the kind of a place where you'd
go for lasagna and breadsticks instead of longnecks and barbecue.
But make no mistake, this is a real Texas barbecue joint all right.
Named for owner Angelo George, the restaurant serves up Fort Worth's
favorite smoked delights in a family atmosphere. For lunch, there are sandwiches and side orders only. Order beans, creamy potato salad, or coleslaw to accompany a tasty sandwich stuffed with tender brisket. But come after three in the afternoon for Angelo's full show. After that magic hour, you'll have table service
plus a choice of plates: brisket or pork ribs or a combination of
the two. Both are about as good as you can get, so you can't go
wrong. The brisket is tender and shot through with smoky taste,
and the ribs are crusty and coated with secret spices. It's all
served up with a tomatoey sauce that adds just the right amount
of spice to an already flavorful meal. Mere lasagna could never satisfy so well. Location:
