Inman's Ranch House Barbecue, Marble Falls
Billy Inman's late uncle founded the original Inman's
up in Llano, which specialized in turkey sausage. Billy followed
in his uncle's footsteps and opened this Inman's four decades ago.
The menu is simple here. Billy and Francis Inman sell brisket and
turkey sausage with sides of coleslaw and beans. That's it. Take
it or leave it. The Ranch House Barbecue is located in an old house,
with a few simple tables tucked in former bedrooms and the living
room. You place your order in the back room of the house. where
you can get a peek at the huge red pit where the Inmans work their
magic. We tried everything on the menu (not such a difficult task), and we can say that everything is a winner. The brisket is full of smoky taste, a testimony to long hours in that big red pit. The turkey sausage is less greasy than its beef and pork cousins, and full of spicy goodness. Location:Highway 281 & Sixth, Marble Falls Tel. 830-693-2711 Open: Tuesday to Sunday (very limited lunch hours on weekends)
