Zimmerhanzel's Bar-B-Que, Smithville

This popular Smithville pit is always filled with locals, sometimes lined up from the counter all the way to the door. Taste the pit's product and you'll see why.

Located in a bright orange metal building, you can't miss Zimmerhanzel's. There's not much atmosphere here, but the barbecue makes up for any blandness in decor.

Order brisket, pork ribs, chicken, or sausage, served with beans, potato salad, macaroni salad, or coleslaw. We were especially fond of the tender, succulent brisket and the spicy sausage.
