Fort Davis, Texas Travel Guide

Region: Big Bend Country

The community of Fort Davis is one of the gateways to the Big Bend region. The community began as a US Army post in the mid-1800s, located at the intersection of two important mail routes.

The community is located in the Davis Mountains, which provide a respite from the heat of the surrounding Chihuahuan Desert and make Fort Davis a favorite destination any time of year.
