Austin's Hopping with SXSW

Tuesday was one of those picture perfect spring days so we headed to Austin to photograph the State Capitol grounds and downtown. It's still a little bit early for wildflowers but the trees are leafing out. You'll see a photo of the State Capitol in the Photo of the Week gallery.

The Capitol and all of downtown was hopping with crowds in town for South By Southwest (SXSW), the Texas-sized festival that has evolved from primarily a music event to one that includes film and interactive (web) conferences as well. The Austin Convention Center was buzzing with the Interactive and Film festivals and the registration of musicians for the music festival which is just now swinging into gear. Check out the SXSW website for more on the schedule of events.
