Texas State Symbols

OK, we know that you know the state flower (bluebonnet) and the state bird (mockingbird). But do you know the official state large mammal? Or small mammal? Or insect? We have to confess that we were a little surprised by one or two of these state symbols as we created our Texas facts page today. It's part of our enlarged All About Texas section which now includes everything from a quick rundown of everything you missed in seventh grade Texas history class to a look back at Texas cattle drives.
