Austin to Celebrate Texas Independence Day

We told you last week about the big plans for celebrating Texas Independence Day at Washington-on-the-Brazos but you'll find many other celebrations across the state. In Austin, the event will be marked from March 2-4 with a parade, barbecue cook-off, 5k fun run and a celebration at the State Capitol.

The 5k run takes place at 9 a.m., and http://www2.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifthe parade begins at 11 a.m. on Congress Avenue on March 3.
