POTD: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ammannsville

In the small farming community of Ammannsville, the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is one of the region’s famous painted churches. On the exterior, it appears much like many Texas churches of the period. Inside, however, an elaborately painted interior recalls the churches the Czech immigrants left behind in their homeland.
