Days after attending his sister’s thanksgiving memorial service at the Guards’ Chapel in London’s Wellington Barracks, Charles, the ninth Earl Spencer, brought a touch of Althorp’s aristocratic ambiance to the denizens of The Big D. Princess Diana’s brother regaled an appreciative audience of Anglophiles with stories of the Spencer’s ancestral abode as he introduced the Althorp Collection, a series of reproduction furnishings which is now among the 57 different lines of custom-made furniture sold at McGannon Showrooms, located in the Dallas Decorative Center.
According to the Dallas Morning News, country music queen Naomi Judd was also in a furniture-shopping frame of mind during her stay in the nation’s ninth-largest city. The “Love Can Build A Bridge” singer was spotted at Aneita Fern: The Home of Stickley, which opened its doors in Dallas earlier this year.
Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell surely sang the praises of The Mansion on Turtle Creek during the Dallas leg of their Lone Star state search for the next “American Idol.” After a day spent listening to a deluge of Dallas diva-wannabes, the reality show stars were able to unwind in their respective suites at the 5-star sanctuary, the Dallas Morning News reports.
