POTD: Can You Name This Plant?

Here’s a little bit different photo of the day today. This photo was taken just outside our office not far from Lake Travis. These weeds grow about three feet high during the summer and then, during each freeze, literally explode with a frozen “bloom” that lasts until the sun hits the icy bloom. We’ve heard these called freeze weeds but does any TexasTripper reader out there know their real name?
