Update on South Padre Island

Work is underway getting electrical power back to South Padre Island and accessing the damage. If you have a vacation planned for the coming weeks, check in with your accommodation for an update.

You'll also find information on the current status of the island on these websites:

South Padre will be just fine. Things are already turning around as it was not as bad as predicted. If you are really interested in helping our economy, take a vacation there in the next few weeks. You will get great prices and find out what most Texans already know: South Padre has great people, seafood, and fishing.

Best,
Sam Malone

South Padre Island is back up and and top again. The weather is fantastic. Hotels, restaurants and bars are all open for business. See for yourself that there is no damage from all the mayhem with Fay, Dolly and Ike from the webcams at http://www.southpadrebeachcam.com/
We have BikerFest, Sandcastle Days and the Musicfest featuring Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Willie Nelson and many more musical groups. We have horseback riding, parasailing, golf, and other activities like fishing
http://www.gladiatoriiadventures.com/ You owe it to yourself to come check out the best beach left standing. You can't find a more beautiful, affordable or closer tropical paradise.
