Gidding Hosts Texas Word Wrangler Festival

The 3rd Annual Texas Word Wrangler Festival is scheduled for September 12 at the Giddings Public Library and Cultural Center at 276 N. Manse. This free event (scheduled from 9am-5pm) will feature twenty-six authors to read from their books, discuss their creative inspiration, and sign books.
The night before the event, the library will host a “Meet the Authors” fundraiser at the Giddings Public Library.
Events: Events and activities during the two days include:
— “Meet the Author” Gala Event – Thursday, September 11, 2008 (tickets available at Library)
— Book signing event with known children and adult authors and poets
— Walk-in Coffee (Breakfast & Lunch items, free-will donation) sponsored by the Giddings New Horizons Lions Club
— Door Prizes
— 26 Authors in one place at one time
— “Wheel of Fortune” Game
