Kerr Arts & Cultural Center Welcomes American Watercolor Society Exhibition

A collection of 40 watercolor paintings representing the visions of artists from around the world will grace the walls of the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center in Kerrville this spring as the venue welcomes the American Watercolor Society’s 142nd annual exhibition and traveling show. The only Texas fine arts venue to host the event, KACC is the first gallery in the nation to showcase the current exhibition.
Reception: An opening reception will feature a visit from artist Duncan Simmons, who will offer a watercolor demonstration. Admission to the reception, which will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on May 14, is free to KACC members and $15 for non-members.
Watercolor Workshop: If you are looking to better your brushwork, sign up for the center’s two-day watercolor workshop. Presented by renowned artists Duncan Simmons and Keiko Yasuoka, students will learn how to summon the skills needed to create a realistic rendering in watercolor. Held May 15-16 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., tuition is $150.
