Unveiled in March 2012, a sculpture of gunslinger Billy the Kid now stands near the San Elizario jail where he broke out his buddy back in the 1880s, and from June 8 – 10th the statue will be a silent witness as Wild West fans mosey into town to remember the life and times of the notorious bandit who has captured the imagination of generations.
Sightseers can separate fact from fiction as they visit the El Paso County community’s historic sites and watch re-enactors relive William H. Bonney’s visit during a production of Midnight Rendezvous: Billy the Kid and the Mystery of 1876 at the Adobe Horseshoe Theater.
On June 9th The Iveys will provide the soundtrack to the festival.
When: June 8 – 10, 2012
