Parker County Peach Festival, Weatherford, TX, July 14, 2012

Known as The Peach Capital of Texas, in celebration of their favorite fruit the folks in Weatherford invite visitors to enjoy an annual festival that is certain to add flavor to the summer season.

Last year over 30,000 peach-loving people attended the event, and tourists in 2012 can look forward to a day devoted to good, old-fashioned family fun complete with a “42″ domino tournament; a Peach Pedal Bike Ride; a food competition; more than 200 booths brimming with arts and crafts and festival food; live music on three stages and activities for little ones at the Kiddie Korner.

Admission: $5 for adults; free for children ages 12 and under (Advance tickets are now on sale for $4 at the Weatherford Chamber office at 401 Fort Worth Hwy.)

When: July 14, 2012 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
