Brazosport, Texas Travel Guide

Located on the mouth of the Brazos River 50 miles south of Houston, this coastal community is best known for its fishing, both saltwater and freshwater. Summer visitors also enjoy swimming, surfing, and crabbing in its waters.

Attractions:

Brazosport Museum of Natural Science. Exhibits on local natural history, the Brazos river, and the freshwater and saltwater regions that surround Brazosport are the focus of this museum.

City Docks. This bustling area is the heart of Brazosport's economy. Visitors can view cargo ships from around the globe at these docks.

Shelling. Brazosport's 27 miles of beaches are extremely popular with shell seekers who search for 600 species of shells along these sands. The best shelling is found on Quintana, Bryan and Surfside Beaches.
