Whitehead Memorial Museum, Del Rio

This museum is a must for history buffs and fans of Judge Roy Bean. This collection of early area buildings includes a replica of the Jersey Lilly, the infamous saloon where Judge Roy Bean dispensed his frontier justice. (The original Jersey Lilly is located northwest of Del Rio in Langtry.)

Behind the saloon replica lie the actual graves of Judge Bean and his son, Sam. The museum recently acquired the original Judge Roy Bean exhibit from Langtry so it's well worth a stop even if you visited here previously.

Of special interest at the museum is the Cadena Nativity Exhibit, a cultural folklore display with over 1200 pieces.

Location: 1308 S. Main St.
