Located in the heart of the Metroplex, these neighboring cities are easily accessible by interstate highway from either Dallas or Fort Worth. Both offer a range of family vacation activities as well as plenty of family accommodations and restaurants

Attractions:

Texas Rangers Baseball. The stadium for the Texas Rangers baseball team is home to the Legends of the Game Baseball Museum and the Children's Learning Center, excellent attractions that include exhibits both on the history of the Rangers and baseball in general. The top floor children's museum utilizes baseball concepts to illustrate history, physics and and mathmatics. Located at the junction of Rte. 360 and I-30.

Trader's Village. This Texas-sized flea market offers something for everyone.

Horse racing.This facility features horse racing with parimutuel wagering. Along with a restaurant, the park includes indoor and outdoor seating. Located at 2200 N. Belt Line Rd. (north of jct. I-30) in Grand Prairie.

Johnny High's Country Music Revue. This popular country music show is aimed at a family audience. The stage show includes dozens singers, dancers and musicians featuring both name acts and new stars. Located at 224 N. Center St.

The Palace of Wax/Ripley's Believe it or Not! This museum is filled with wax replicas of Hollywood stars, historic figures, and fantasy figures. Visitors can also see exhibits on events ranging from earthquakes to 200 mph tornados. 601 E. Safari Pkwy. (I-30 at Belt Line Rd. exit north , Grand Prairie)

Six Flags Over Texas. This 200-acre theme park offers thrill rides, musical shows, arcade fun, and family entertainment.
