Ft. Worth Museum of Science and History

This family-friendly museum features nine exhibit galleries covering areas ranging from dinosaurs to computers.

Considered one of the leading science museums in the country in terms of educational programs, size and exhibits, the facility is especially noted for its interactive areas. DinoDig ®, an outdoor area that is the first of its kind in the world, permits children to dig in a large sand pit for dinosaur bones. KIDSPACE ®, designed for children age six and under, is a hands-on learning environment that encourages discovery through activities such as Vortex where children drop balls into a large funnel to demonstrate laws of motion.

The museum is also home to the Omni Theater with an 80-foot domed screen and the Noble Planetarium, the first planetarium in the world to be named for a woman, Miss Charlie Mary Noble.

Location: 1501 Montgomery St. in the Cultural District.
