Granbury, Texas Travel Guide

Located on Lake Granbury, this community began in 1854. Today many early buildings on the town square still recall the town's early days and have been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A favorite getaway from the DFW Metroplex, the town is home to several bed-and-breakfast inns. During the fall months, the pecan crop draws visitors looking for fresh nuts.

Attractions:

Granbury Opera House. This historic 1886 opera house has been restored. Today it is used for a variety of live performances. 133 E. Pearl Street.

Don't Miss:

General Granbury's Birthday Celebration. This March event held on the Courthouse Square includes a parade, arts and crafts, barbecue cookoff, and children's games.
