Prairie Lights Display
Grand Prairie, Texas

When: late November through December 31

Where: Lynn Creek Park on Joe Pool Lake, 5700 Lake Ridge Parkway, Grand Prairie

The City of Grand Prairie is leaving the lights on during the hoiday season—more than three million twinkling lights, in fact. Two miles of winding roads are all lined with over 500 displays including Santa’s elves, snowmen, reindeer, angels, penguins, stars, lollipops and the world’s longest tunnel of lights.  The holiday event is enjoyed by over 85,000 visitors during the season.

Although it’s fun to drive through and enjoy the lights, the event also gives visitors plenty of reason to park and step into the holiday mood. The Holiday Village midway includes carousel rides, Santa’s Store and photos with Santa. Travelers won’t want to miss Holiday Magic, a 10-minute choreographed light show created by John Barrett’s Lightasmic.
