It still feels like summer but the state starts its fall festivities this month.

September Festivals:

National Cowboy Symposium and Celebration & National Championship Chuckwagon Cook-off, Lubbock

West Texas Fair & Rodeo, Abilene. Along with a rodeo and stock show, this event features a large downtown parade.

Septemberfest, Midland

Annual National Championship Powwow, Grand Prairie. Held at Traders Village, this event showcases Native American culture with food, dances, crafts, and more.

Grapefest, Grapevine

Hummer/Bird Festival, Rockport

Texas Gatorfest, Anahuac. This family festival includes an alligator roundup, boat tours to alligator habitat, and more.

Tri-State Fair, Amarillo.

Kolache Festival, Caldwell. Celebrate the Czech heritage of Caldwell, the Kolache Capital of Texas, with this annual event.
