Inn on the River, Glen Rose, Texas Originally part of a popular spa and sanatorium
run by Dr. George P. Snyder, a self-proclaimed "magnetic healer,"
the Inn on the River remains a soothing resting place for the world-weary
traveler. Nestled among 200-year-old trees on the banks of the Paluxy
River, this is one of the largest country inns in Texas and is run as
professionally as a fine hotel. This B&B, located 80 miles from Dallas,
offers a "Complete Meeting Package" for small corporate groups,
with single-occupancy accommodations, three meals, refreshment breaks,
and use of the inn's top-notch conference center. Four-course gourmet
dinners are also served on weekends. Most rooms include queen beds and a combination of antiques and reproductions. An extraordinary breakfast may include hot berry cobbler in winter or a cold banana bisque in the summertime. Location: 205 S.W. Barnard St., Glen Rose Related Page: Glen Rose Index |
