Buchanan Dam Art Gallery

This is the oldest continually operating artists' cooperative in the country, and it's a great place to buy a bluebonnet painting at a reasonable price. The April arts and crafts show is held here, with booths set up outdoors. During the show local artists sell bluebonnets painted on everything from saw blades to mussel shells.

Location: TX 29, about 1/2 miles past the dam.
