Inks Lake State Park, Burnet

This 2,000-acre park offers camping, lakeside picnicking, swimming, and even a golf course.This Highland Lakes park is always popular with boaters and anglers because it is a constant level lake; lighted piers and boat ramps offer access.

Hikers can enjoy 7.5 miles of trails while golfers can practice their skills at the nine-hole course. During summer months, Saturday morning guided tours are available and include nature walks, fish seining, and more.

A canoe tour is offered on the second and fourth Thursday of April, May, September, October, and November.

Other special events include a dusk bat watch every Thursday in June and July. White-tailed deer are a common sight during evening hours. Recommended for: camping, backpacking, hiking, golfing, boating, canoeing, water skiing, scuba diving, fishing.
