Cottonwood Recreation Area
Location: On south side of Lake LBJ next to Wirtz Dam. Access road is off FM 2147, five miles west of Marble Falls. FM 2147 can be reached from the east via US 281 or from the west by TX 71.
Recommended for: boaters
This free day-use park is primarily frequented by boaters and offers 17 acres.

Flying K Recreation Area
Location: West of Marble Falls. Take FM 1431 north to Wirtz Dam Road. Turn left on Wirtz Dam Road. The park entrance is at the end of the road.
Recommended for: picnickers, boaters
This day use park offers hike and bike trails as well as picnic facilities, restrooms, and a boat ramp.
