Lockhart State Park, Lockhart, Texas

Location: 1 mile south of Lockhart on US 183 to FM 20, head southwest for 2 miles to Park Road 10, continue one mile south

Size: 263 acres

Recommended for: swimming, hiking, golfing, fishing, picnicking, nature study

Many of this park's facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. This park has a nine-hole golf course, hiking trails, fishing on Plum Creek, picnic areas, a swimming pool, and campsites for both tents and trailers.
