Lubbock Festivals & Special Events

April

Lubbock Arts Festival. This large art festival, held at the South Plains Fairgrounds, includes a large art fair with sales, demonstrations, and food.

September

Buddy Holly Music Festival. Live music, food, classic cars, induction ceremony for artists and entertainers connected to Lubbock, street festival. Held in the Historic Depot District.

National Cowboy Symposium. Cowboy poets from throughout the region are just one draw that this popular event.

October

Ranch Day at the National Ranching Heritage Center. For over three decades, this center has held this annual event which showcases the history of ranching from the 1780s to the 1930s. The event includes a barbecue lumnch, crafts, and demonstrations.
