New Braunfels Hotels

Prince Solms Inn. Built in 1900, this quiet bed-and-breakfast has two suites and a guest parlor downstairs; upstairs there are eight guest rooms. All rooms are furnished with period antiques. Located at 295 E. San Antonio St.

Faust Hotel. A New Braunfels tradition, this 1929 four-story, renovated hotel features a bar that's popular with locals and visitors. The lobby is appointed with beautiful antique furnishings. Located at 240 S. Seguin Ave.

Heidelberg Lodges. Located near the headwaters of the Comal River, this scenic family resort is popular in the summer with swimmers, snorkelers, and scuba divers. During off-season it's home to winter Texans, who are welcomed with potluck dinners and get-togethers. Accommodations include A-frame cottages and motel units. Located at 1020 N. Houston St.

John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch. If you've got a tennis buff in the family, this resort is a real winner. Wtih covered clay and lighted tennis courts, the resort offers professional instruction. During the summer, the resort offer's children's tennis programs as well. Located at 325 Mission Valley Road.

Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort. If you're planning a visit to Schlitterbahn, this family-friendly motel is right next door. Located at 305 West Austin St.

Gruene Accommodations

Gruene Mansion Inn. Guests at this inn stay in rstored 1870s cottages built on a bluff overlooking the Guadalupe River. Eight lovely rooms are decorated with period antiques.
