Natural Bridge Wildlife Park, New Braunfels

Located next to Natural Bridge Caverns, this is the longest-running, most-visited safari park in the state. The drive through the ranch takes you past zebras, gazelles, antelopes, and ostriches, and feeding is allowed. You'll receive a bucket of animal food when you arrive, and the animals come right up to the car to greet their guests.

Family-operated, this park is home to over 50 species from around the world, ones found throughout the 400-acre ranch. On the 4 1/2-mile drive, you'll be able to see everything from addax antelope to zebras.

You'll also have the opportunity to feed animals along the drive and to view many of the endangered species which call this ranch home, animals including the white rhino, reticulated giraffe, jaguar, ringtailed lemur, and others.

Don't miss the expanded rhinoceros facility, a specially designed building to help rhinos endure chilly winter days.

The entrance area includes a petting zoo with pygmy goats.

Location: From I-35 south of New Braunfels, take RR 3009 west. From TX 46 west of town, you also can take a left on RR 1863 for a slightly longer but very scenic route.
