Kolaches in Schulenburg

Schulenburg--along with towns like Hallettsville, Caldwell, and West--is well known for its fresh kolaches. This Czech pastry was brought to the region by Czech immigrants and keeps local bakeries busy. This tray of poppy seed kolaches was at Oakridge Smokehouse Restaurant just north of I-10 in Schulenburg.
