Goode Co. BBQ in Houston, TX

Goode Co. BBQ in Houston, TX is a fabulous and authentic looking BBQ place. He actually smokes all his meat. People come from all over the US to enjoy the food.

Glass Bottom Boats, San Marcos, Texas

Children and adults alike enjoy a trip riding along on the San Marcos River looking at the fish, rocks and cold clear water thru the glass bottom boats. There is a great view and later, when you get a chance to swim in the rivers in the Texas Hill Country, you have a good idea of what is in the water. I do not know what they have for entertainment this summer but usually they have young women who do tricks underwater and who also feed some of the fish by hand. The cost is reasonable and this is a trip that most Texas children get to take at least once during their school years.

TexasTripper Note: The glass-bottom boat rides are located at Aquarena Center. The former amusement park is now an ecological center with displays on local marine life. Visit http://www.aquarena.txstate.edu/

Reader Review: Dinosaur World, Glen Rose, Texas

For the price, this was not the best experience for the older children. It was absolutely wonderful for the 2 year old, though. All of the big dinosaurs had him in awe. I would recommend saving some money and just going to Dinosaur Valley Park. There is something for everyone there.

RV Travel in San Antonio

I traveled in an RV through Texas. I stayed at the local KOA. In my tow car, I went to [the San Antonio] River Walk. I had always wanted to go here after seeing it in a travel short on television. Upon going through the mall and entering River Walk, it was just as I had expected and more. The restaurants, shops and boat ride were exciting and relaxing. I walked up a few stair cases and went to some of the shops. Looked great in my Texas cowboy hat. The art and clothes and other shops filled my RV with delights I have to this day. I can highly recommend River Walk to all people.

SeaWorld San Antonio

Sea World is GREAT! You hate to leave at the end of the day. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy. There are shows to see all day long, rides to meet everyone's taste from the daring to the faint of heart, and all types of food to enjoy. Can't wait to visit again.

Texas Cactus, San Antonio

We were so impressed with the beautiful plant life and the huge oak trees. I loved the cactus! Being from Pennsylvania that was a sight for us to appreciate.
