Royer's Round Top Cafe

Surrounding the courthouse are several antique shops and Royer's Round Top Cafe, a country cafe with surprisingly sophisticated entrees.

You wouldn't expect to find shrimp scampi, fresh fettucine, grilled red snapper and pasta with fresh marinara and shrimp at a small-town diner, but here it is. This lively joint serves up some of the best cooking in central Texas, in a fun atmosphere that's popular with locals and visitors.

It's all topped off with homemade pies that include butterscotch tollhouse, buttermilk, and that Texas favorite, pecan.

Royer's also operates a mail order and wholesale sauce business, featuring pepper sauce, citrus vinegar, mint vinegar, and marinades.
