Salado Art Show. This large art show is held in Pace Park on the banks of the Salado River; the event features arts, kids' art area.(The art show has always been held in August, a time that's sometimes hot enough to melt the paint off canvas. Thankfully, you're just steps away from the river if you start to swoon...)

Gathering of the Clans. Look for Scottish games, music, genealogy displays, exhibits at this traditional festival held on the Village Green. Don't forget to bring your camera to this colorful and fun event even if you don't have a drop of Scottish blood in you.
