San Antonio Art Galleries

ArtPace

This contemporary arts gallery was founded by Linda Pace, daughter of David Earl Pace of Pace Foods fame (if you've been in San Antonio for long, you've sampled their picante sauce). This gallery opened it doors in January 1995 and has quickly gained notice for its artists-in-residents programs. The 18,000-square-foot facility houses three artists at a time: one international, one national, and one from the San Antonio region. Artists receive a two-month residency which is followed by an exhibition.

Galeria Ortiz

She took over the DagenBela Galeria in 1995, and changed the name to Galeria Ortiz. Up and coming artists’ work is featured alongside internationally recognized artists. Fine art, jewelry, sculpture are presented to visitors who come to see something new.
