St. Mary's University

St. Mary's began as St. Mary's Institute, established in San Antonio in 1852 by brothers of the Society of Mary. Recognized by the State of Texas in 1897, the institution renamed St. Mary's College grew rapidly after the turn of the century, dividing into three major schools: arts, sciences, and business. In 1927, it began operating as St. Mary's University.

Today St. Mary's University includes five schools: the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Science, Engineering and Technology, the School of Business and Administration, the School of Law, and the Graduate School.

In addition to Bachelor's degrees, Master's degrees and Doctorate degrees are also offered in some fields.

The law school at St. Mary's is the only such institution in the Alamo City.

Location: One Camino Santa Maria, San Antonio
