Crockett Hotel, San Antonio

Just beyond Alamo Plaza stands the Crockett Hotel situated on grounds that were once part of the Alamo battlefield. In fact, Davy Crockett was said to have defended the southeast palisade, and the hotel is named in his honor. The original mercantile store that stood at this site was sold to the International Order of Odd Fellows, who built a lodge and hotel here in 1909.

Today the 202-room hotel has been faithfully restored to its turn-of-the-century grandeur. Guests can enjoy a rooftop hot tub and sun deck or a landscaped pool with its own waterfall.

The Crockett is the perfect place for guests who are looking for a comfortable accommodation at a great location. Adjacent to the Alamo, River Center Mall, and the River Walk, many of San Antonio’s major attractions are within walking distance. For active guests, golf and tennis can be found within five miles.

For business travelers, the Crockett has copying, internet, fax, and printer services. The hotel offers a restaurant and cocktail lounge, dry cleaning and laundry facilities, safety deposit boxes, turndown service, and wake up calls for guests who want to get an early start to a busy day.

Guests can dine either at the hotel’s Landmark Restaurant or choose from any of the varied restaurants on the nearby River Walk. To finish off a busy day of shopping on the River Walk or touring the historic missions, visitors can relax in the outdoor pool, or in the roof-top hot tub that presents a view of beautiful downtown San Antonio.
