Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio
Part of the South Bank development project on (you guessed it) the south side of the River Walk, the Hard Rock Cafe is filled with rock 'n roll memorabilia, good old American food, and, of course, the popular Hard Rock Cafe gift shop selling the requisite T-shirts. This popular restaurant has both indoor and River Walk dining (our favorite); the outdoor tables are nestled beneath shade trees so it's not too toasty even on summer days. Three floors of patios overlook the River Walk. Indoors is, well, like most Hard Rock Cafes: loud and usually crowded. It's not our favorite option on the River Walk but that's not to say it doesn't appeal to many travelers. If you eat outside, though, save time for a
peek at the indoor collection of rock 'n roll artifacts; Southeby's
says that Hard Rock Cafe has the most extensive collection of rock
memorabilia in the world. At this location, look for John Lennon's
granny glasses, a Jimi Hendrix necklace, an Elvis white karate suit,
a Johnny Cash jacket, and more. Location: 111 Crockett, San Antonio Return to San
