The Havana Riverwalk Inn, San Antonio

This moderately-priced (in River Walk terms) inn was built in 1914 as a residential hotel. After a major renovation, today the inn combines the charms of a B&B with the convenience of a larger luxury property. It’s convenient for travelers who find the hotel near the Southwest Craft Center.

The inn has 27 guest rooms, each decorated in its own individual style which might include Indian gauze canopies or plantation shutters. Each room is carefully designed to help transport visitors to another place: Havana, Africa, or Colonial India. Furnishings and accessories have been imported from around the world for the hotel.

The historic atmosphere of the hotel is carried out in the guest rooms, where you’ll find all the modern amenities from data ports to climate-controlled thermostats (although it might be carefully tucked beneath a cowboy ha--no, we're not kiddingt).

All rooms in the inn are non-smoking.

The hotel is also home to the Cohiba, a Latin Bar, and Tapas Grille. Look for South American specialties from the grille and martinis are the specialty of the bar.

Location: 1015 Navarro St.
