Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort

This elegant resort is situated in the rolling hills of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. The ranch house-styled resort’s exposed wood beams and wooden porches with breathtaking views of the Hill Country give the property a homey feel. Each of the 500 guest rooms offer cable TV with in-room movies, telephones with voice mail and computer hookup, video check-out, climate control, electronic door locks, full bath amenities, iron with ironing board, AM/FM alarm clock, and refrigerators. The resort has many levels of rooms to suit every visitor’s needs. Standard guest rooms have a refrigerator, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and coffee maker.

King Guest Rooms and Double / Double Guest Rooms each have an armoire, desk with chairs, ottoman and stuffed arm chair. Found on floors one through four, Hill Country Suites are comprised of a parlor and bedroom. The bedroom has a king-sized bed, armoire, televisions, telephone and table, and the parlor has a fold-out sofa, round table with chairs, two phones, an armoire with TV, refrigerator, and two ottomans. The suites are decorated with a Texas-styled motif, including denim drapes and colored woods. Hospitality Suites are similar to Hill Country Suites, except that these suites are found on the Lobby level and open either onto the ballroom courtyard or the town square. The parlor dining table can seat six guests and has a separate wet bar area. The parlor also includes high chairs, a buffet and full couch.

VIP Suites feature a parlor and adjoining bedroom with a king bed, as well as a connecting room on the opposite side of the parlor which has two double beds. There are two separate baths, one with a shower and the other with shower and tub. The parlor has two phones, an entertainment center and wet bar. Baths are equipped with a phone and bathrobes for guests. Each of the VIP Suites has a different theme and is decorated in a different decor. There are two Presidential Suites, each with a distinctive atmosphere. The Rose Window Villa is sure to make guests feel right at home. The main bedroom has king-size bed, armoire, and balcony while its bath features an elevated, sunken marble luxurious tub that includes jets. The Villa is done in shades of amber, rose and sage and features artifacts from Mexican craftsmen.

The Log Cabin Suite’s “Old West” decor transports guests to the 1920s. Oak and pine furnishings are accented by cowboy-influenced art. Lastly, the Sunday House is a lovely two-story guest house with a charming covered porch where guests can admire the view from wooden rocking chairs. Made in the style of a traditional Texas ranch house, the house includes two bedrooms, a formal dining room, living room, full kitchen, three baths and a charming fireplace. The main bedroom features a king-sized bed and its bath includes a full tub and separate shower. The additional bedroom has two double beds and full bath.
There are several restaurants on property that offer a range of cuisines to suit guests’ appetites.

Springhouse Cafe serves up a buffet and á la carte menu with Texas specialties. Don’t miss the Hill Country Quesadillas. Texas favorites, these quesadillas are flour tortillas with beef, chicken or chorizo. The Cactus Oak Tavern serves guests grilled burgers, salads and sandwiches at the clubhouse, where guests can enjoy use of the pool table and two TVs that are always on the sports channel.

There are plenty of activities for guests to participate in while staying at Hyatt Hill Country Resort. This resort is a great choice for golf lovers. Hyatt Hill Country’s 18-hole championship golf course has been rated one of the best courses in the US by Golf Magazine. Private lessons are available for guests. Three tennis courts are available for guest use, and a tennis pro is on hand for lessons or just a little help. Guests can rent equipment from the Pro Shop. Ping-Pong, volleyball, croquet and horseshoes can all be found at the Health Club, which also features the latest exercise equipment. Guests can pamper themselves with the Health Club’s spa services including a variety of massages, reflexology, facials, manicures, pedicures, and salon services.

Hyatt Hill Country’s Ramblin’ River is a 950-foot landscaped river where guests can drift and enjoy the sun. The Ramblin’ River begins at the active pool and ends at the wading pool. Near the Ramblin’ River, guests will find two swimming pools separated by a waterfall. For guests traveling with young children, Camp Hyatt is open to guests between the ages of three and twelve. Kids can participate in activities like games, nature walks and making new friends.
