Hyatt Regency Riverwalk

With its soaring signature Hyatt atrium and sweeping views of the River Walk, this centrally-located hotel is one of our favorites. The hotel makes a great home base for exploring the River Walk, the rooms are large and stylish, and the hotel captures all the excitement of the River Walk.

This hotel is located on the bend in the river and it captures all the excitement of the River Walk. Whether you enter from the street or the River Walk, you'll admire the soaring atrium filled with palms and the sounds of falling water. Glass elevators whisk guests to the 631 rooms above. The hotel added a segment to the river to divert water through the atrium and into the water gardens beyond. Follow the steps up the water gardens and you'll find yourself facing the Alamo.

This elegant hotel offers many amenities to its guests. Every room is equipped with a TV with a remote control, cable movie channels and in-room pay movies, voice mail, computer hookup, climate control, electronic door locks, iron with an ironing board, AM/FM alarm clock, a hair dryer, a coffee maker, and a mini bar. Turndown service is available upon request.

The hotel also has a heated outdoor pool and whirlpool located on the rooftop (guests should pop up there for a panoramic view of the city, even if now swimming) plus a complimentary health club with exercise bikes, stair climbers and treadmills, a business center, concierge service, assistive devices for disabled guests, a gift shop, a florist, hair and manicure salon, laundry and dry cleaning service, room service, valet parking, currency exchange, and safe deposit boxes.

The hotel is right on the River Walk and a short walk from the Alamo and the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. On the property, Chaps Restaurant features a Bistro-style cuisine with a breakfast buffet, fresh salad bar, nightly dinner specials, and delicious desserts. The River Terrace Lobby Bar is the perfect place to relax and visit with friends while enjoying cocktails and appetizers.
